Soul Refresh has been engaged with the redevelopment plans for the Leegate Shopping Centre and was part of a group that worked with the landlord St Modwen to bring in Bow Atrs to occupy 3 floors of Leegate House.

 

In July 2016 we led the organisation of a community Fun Day that was enjoyed by several hundred people and featured singer and musician Lily Davies, a large bouncy castle, a barbecue, face-painting, art, play events and market stalls.

In March 2016 we employed designers and revamped our logo, we hope you like it.

 

In December 2015 we were delighted to host the Get Together Club for their annual Christmas luncheon for the 3rd year running.

 

Soul Refresh was given a 5 star food safety hygiene in summer 2015 from Lewisham Environmental Health.

 

SOUL REFRESH became a founding member of the Lee Green Community Network in September 2016. Our food manager and volunteer, Sandra French received a certficate of membership from local MP, Heidi Alexander, Shadow Cabinet Member for Health. Soul Refresh volunteers give an estimated 8,000 hours per year of time to the community!

We work closely where possible with Lee Green Lives who provide community activities from their premises at 3 Leegate.

 

We recommend the work of the Lee Manor Society and their work stimulating interest in the Lee Manor Conservation Area.

our FREE Culture Share evening on Friday 20th February from 6.30-8.30pm was  great success

Lewisham Mayor, Sir Steve Bullock and , Kris Hibbert attended.

The evening was led by NCBI London and facilitatted by its CEO, Royston John. NCBI London is a charity focussed on

equality and diversity issues and this evening was directed at community building whilst highlighting some of its wider work.
